How I Made This is a series from BU Today that explores how Boston University students create their works of art — be it a musical composition, a fiber sculpture, a short story, a painting, and beyond. The series balances candid, personal storytelling with dense technical and historical material, so the client's direction was clear: keep the tone illuminating, positive, energetic, forward-looking, and fresh, giving students room to speak authentically about their process without the design feeling heavy or academic.
